September 2016 Update

Galleries West Fall Edition 2016

My installation printmaking exhibition made the Fall Issue of Galleries West!  The image was taken at the Gallery in Okotoks this past May.  It is currently in a crate making its way back to Saskatoon after its second show in the Kootenay Art Gallery, to be shown at the Saskatchewan Craft Council from Oct. 7th to Nov. 19th.  It will be the 300th show in the history of the Craft Council.  I have made 300 engraved miniature bee prints that will be on sale during the show at the Craft Council Gallery gift shop.  The Craft Council started to represent my work this summer, so stop by the gift shop and take a peek at some of the creations that I have there.

In other art news, I have part of my nest series in Mexico this fall.  There will be 3 locations in Puerto Vallarta for the exhibition that I am part of, currently it is at Museo de Arte Peter Gray (universidad de Guadalajara/Cetro Universitario de la Costa); the entire exhibition will end in late December.

The Vancouver Biennial International Miniature Printmaking Exhibition (BIMPE IX) accepted 3 of my works, and the show opens Sept. 20th.  There was a size restriction for the proposal, and the show has artists from all over the world represented, so needless to say, I am rather proud to be a part of it.  I am travelling there to see the show and will provide an update in a future post.

Check out the miniature size of this nest!  Need a dime, anyone?
