The Legend of the Red Thread
This is a collaborative piece. It is a book that visually represents the legend of the Red Thread.
"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break." - Ancient Chinese Proverb
We created a book that has a red thread moving throughout it. I created the prints in the book by inking a string rather than a block. It was a challenge but as you can see from the picture below it looks really great. Cathryn Miller http://www.sccmembershipdirectory.com/professional-craftperson/miller_cathryn/miller.php is the other artist that I worked with on the project, she created the amazing book and the box that the book is contained in.
