We have access to many different options to end conflict,
we just have to decide as a human race the outcomes we desire.

I will be creating nests from recycled materials as I did here in Canada for use in “La Semaine Européenne de la Réduction des Déchets”  which is the recycle awareness week in all of Europe. The exhibition of the work I create will take place in various locations in trees from November 16 – 24.

Below is a series of paper nests (including the eggs) that were created using printmaking techniques
and then manipulated to become 3D. The colours of each nest relate directly to Disney characters and settings, and each
3D egg is created from maps of Paris and of Disneyland Paris.

These pieces are inspired by my work with beekeepers Pierrick, Phillipe, Pierre and Simon.
Thank you to all of you for letting me be in your world for a while. I learned so much and am drawing on the experience as I work on a series using
bees and their lives as a main focus.

The Legend of the Red Thread

This is a collaborative piece.  It is a book that visually represents the legend of the Red Thread.
"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or  circumstances. The thread may  stretch or tangle, but never  break."  - Ancient Chinese Proverb

We created a book that has a red thread connected through each page. I created the prints in the book by inking a thread and then putting it in the press. It was a challenge but as you can see from the picture below, it looks really great. Cathryn Miller is the other artist that I worked with on the project, she constructed  the amazing book using traditional book binding methods and the box that the book is contained in.

Can you think of one or two or 10 more????

This is a project that will see me painting honeycombs and bees on the sidewalks and roadways of Saskatoon between Ave E and F on 20th St. For those that were looking forward to painting on the 25th of September it had to be postponed for logistical reasons.  It will now occur in the spring, date to be determined.  Below is an image of the first corner completed when construction fencing was still in place at the corner of Ave. F and 20th.   I will be painting the crosswalks on E and F and along the sidewalks.
