SaskTerra
Last weekend I also had a piece selected for a touring exhibition with Sask Terra. It is part of my Nest-Nest Egg - Empty Nest series. The nests were created using discarded clay. There are 100 in the series.
Dimensions - The Legend of the Red Thread
This weekend I was delighted to have a piece of mine, a collaborative piece, with Cathryn Miller selected for a touring exhibiton.
It is a book based on the Legend of the Red Thread.
The book uses printmaking o the interior pages, red thread on spools which links to the book and the entire thing folds up into a nice little box.
A Frame of Mine
Here is a shout out to my picture framer. He supplies me with all my framing needs, even the short notice things that happen.

dragonfly prints
Samurai warriors would sometimes have images of dragonflies on their armour. The
dragonfly is a symbol of agility, power and victory.
This prints will be in an exhibition at Void Gallery, Saskatoon, with the Ink Slab Printmaking Group from April 30 -May 10.

This is the "Once Upon a Time..." board.
Life and all experiences are stories ready to be told at a later time.
Life is all about the stories, the happy, the sad, the funny, the
ridiculous...
Once Upon a Time in the Backcountry... Once Upon a Time in the Terrain
Park...Once Upon a Time at the Rail Jam.... Once Upon a Time on a Tree
Run...
This is a 4 colour reductive technique linocut that is part of a
triptych.
The image is of an old Remington typewriter when snail mail
was the only option for getting the word out to others that weren't
there to experience the story firsthand.
Dangling Carrot: Fame, Fortune and Happiness This piece is a dangling
carrot because getting more time on the hill is often a dangling carrot,
and for some riders so is fame and fortune.
This is a 12 colour/2 block reductive technique linocut on a diecut
background that says "Fame, Fortune, Happiness"

The Legend of the Red Thread
I am currently working on an art book with a fellow artist. We are creating a book about "The Legend of the Red Thread".
"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break." - Ancient Chinese Proverb
The following images are of the back pages. The book builds up page by page to this heart that is printed with threads. I inked coarse thread to create the detailing around the printed hearts.
